In 2020, the 1890 Foundation established a new partnership with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) via a new two-year agreement to host a series of career development conferences.

 

These sessions (which were held virtually) engaged 1890 students majoring in agricultural sciences and STEM disciplines, and were specifically designed to increase the number of 1890 students applying for more than 1,500 job openings nationwide. The NRCS agreement represents an innovative approach to advancing workforce development opportunities for 1890 students.
